Christmas is Over…Now Let’s Make Plans

It’s officially come and gone and now it’s time to start making those New Year resolutions.  Sure I will make the normal..lose weight…eat better…promise to workout…etc.  But let’s go a bit further and stick to it!  I am going to be working my buns off this new year.  I have major plans to not only makeover myself {through blood, sweat and tears} but also our house.
I am happy with what all Zack and I have done in our nest but we could do so much more.  There are rooms that are lacking.  There are rooms that could use a little extra TLC.  There are rooms that need to be finished {kitchen} and there are rooms that need to be spruced up as well.
My first goal will be finishing the kitchen.  We are 75% done.  We just need to finish the cabinets on the right side and install crown molding.  Not too bad.  I want this completed before the end of January.
Next up my goal is to redecorate the laundry room.  We painted it this year but just sorta left it unfinished…unprettified.  I want my laundry room to look like so many of those others out there in blog land.  I’ll have an upcoming inspiration post for laundry rooms.
I want to repaint the den as well.  I sold our furniture and wanted to turn it into a play room.  I had major plans, but those fell through.  Why?  Well, because I want to turn it into Kayla’s room.  This will give us 4 bedrooms in our home and give us that extra room for a baby.  Yea, you read that right.  No we aren’t expecting.  But we always said we would have to move in order to have a baby because our home isn’t big enough.  Well, turning a room into a bedroom that we don’t use anyways gives us 4 bedrooms!  *smiles*
Let’s see…With moving Kayla, we will move Kelsie into Kayla’s old room.  This means we will have to paint and patch holes in Kayla’s old room.  I know we just redid Kelsie’s room!
Plus coming up…I am going to show you an ugly bathroom that is inside our own home! {yikes!}
What are some plans y’all want to get accomplished in 2010?

Sweet! Look at all of those cools plans (including one for a BABY!). I will be looking for the laundry room post because even though I don't have one, I can still dream. We need to spruce things up around here as well, finish projects that have been neglected.

I'm hoping to do a few things with wainscoting! And figure out how to make a drip system on one side of our yard. :) I hope you post pictures. I always love to see the before and after pictures for household projects!

Sounds like a plan! I also plan on sticking with my goals this year. Especially making myself better. Lose weight, take better care of myself... I start college on Thursday!
