U By Kotex Tween

This month with U by Kotex Tween I’m talking about lot’s of information for you and your daughter.  One thing that I think we as women and definitely as young girls worry about staining up our expensive {or not} undies!  Truth be told, since I’m gonna be honest here, I don’t think you can help it 100% off the time.  For this very reason I have what I call “period panties”.  They aren’t “granny panties” or anything funky.  Just plain jane panties, in my favorite cut.  But instead of wearing my fancy more expensive ones, I use some that are a little older.  I just make sure that I have those babies on and I’m good to go, no worrying about staining up my favorite or expensive undies.  I know, not what you wanted to hear.  I’m sure you wanted to know something that would keep your VS panties in pristine condition.  But in my opinion, I’d rather be safe than sorry. 
With that being said, I do know that one main defense is your brand of products your using.  My 13 year old uses U by Kotex Tween and so far she’s hasn’t had anything less than what she had hoped for.  Thankfully.  I have used brands over the years that don’t hold up like they are supposed too. :-/  Also making sure you stay on top of changing throughout the day will help make sure that everything stays clean.  And I hate to mention this but hygiene is very important!  It’s way worst than forgetting to wear deodorant! 
Kayla told me last month that she was just hungry all the time….I noted it’s the period and all those hormones…my advice..eat something high in fiber/protein.  Grabbing a yummy choc protein bar will fix those hormonal cravings for the junk, while keeping the calories in check!  She’s also been moody a lot lately.  The only thing for that…sorry, it’s part of the cycle.  It will be over in a few days…just bear with it!
One important thing that you must remember every month is to track your period!  You can use cute stickers on a calendar or download an app for your phone/mobile device.  We chose the latter, because it’s just easier.  This will also really help in keeping panties clean.  If you know the day your supposed to start thanks to your mad tracking skills and you throw a panty liner on, chances are you won’t have the opportunity to have a mess.
