T.J. Maxx/Marshalls Back to School Shopping

We’ve been back in school for a few weeks now but we are still in the process of back to school shopping.  I find that I am one of those moms that wait until the last minute when it comes to school clothes and shoes.  Luckily I am not alone.  According to a recent Mom Central survey 25% of moms wait until the last minute. Unfortunately for me and my girls, this can mean that they don’t get the chance to get the latest fashion trends.   We have had times in the past where Kayla wants a particular item and it’s no where to be found.
This year was no different.  We waited until the last minute and we are still shopping!  I got the chance to work with T.J. Maxx through Mom Central and my girls were thrilled!  Kayla was more thrilled than Kelsie because she’s in seventh grade and name brands mean a lot to her.  We have hit that age where brands and styles matter more than it should.  Kelsie’s only in first grade and could care less as long as it’s cute.
With a $50 gift card to T.J. Maxx in hand I took the girls one night last week and they picked out a couple of things each.  Kayla found one shirt that she flipped over!  It’s a brand that I have never heard of, but apparently it’s well known amongst her peers.  I saw the $10.99 price tag and said sure thing.  When we got home I nearly fainted.  As I was hanging it up in her closet I saw the retail value of $54.99! Yikes!!  Thanks to T.J. Maxx I was able to save major cash on one shirt that she will most likely be outgrown by February.  That’s what we like about T.J. Maxx the most!  You can buy name brand and designer clothes and accessories for 20 to 60% less than what you pay at department stores.  And when you have kids this is really important.
Here is what we found on our shopping trip to T.J. Maxx…..

If  you have little fashionistas shopping at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls just makes sense.  Their buyers are constantly traveling and checking out the runways for the latest fashions.  And since they bring in more than 10,000 new items each week,  you’ll always find the hottest fashion trends.
They are currently putting in a Marshalls out at Pier Park and I can’t wait!  I’ve never been in one of those so I’m excited to see what all they carry.  With the two of them located fairly close to our house I’m sure that we’ll all be wearing the latest fashions!
If you want to go back to school shopping with your kids, Mom Central is giving away a $100 gift card to T.J. Maxx and Marshalls.  Just click on the image below to be taken to the site where you can enter!  Good Luck!
