Disney World Planning Part 2

If you missed part one about the reason we chose to stay within the resort, you can check that out here.

As y’all know I’m not a Disney expert, I’m just sharing my planning for our upcoming trip in March.

I’m gonna share my next planning step and why I think it’s an important one.

Extra Magic Hours are the one thing to take advantage of when your staying within the resort.  If you don’t know what extra magic hours are then I’ll tell you.  They are special hours before or after the parks normal hours.  They are only available to those that are staying at one of the resort hotels.  I think they are great for those wanting to beat the crowds.  Especially when there are rides that involve a fast pass.  Because if your going to a park that morning before they actually open to everybody then you can head to the fast pass rides first and actually ride them!!  This was key to planning what days we are going to what parks.

We will be there March for 6 days.  On the night that we arrive we plan on visiting Downtown Disney so we don’t have to worry about EMH’s {extra magic hours} for that.  But for the other days we planned them according to the EMH’s.

Friday will be Epcot

The park opens at 9am that morning and closes at 9pm, however the EMH’s are from close until 12am.  So we plan on Getting there that morning when they open so that we can ride a few hot rides that the Fast Passes will surly be gone by lunch and then probably do lunch and then explore all the different countries.  And we will probably grab a few Fast Passes for later so we will get the chance to ride them again.  I am excited about getting to do more at Epcot, seeing as last time we only got the chance to really explore it at night.  We didn’t get to see any of the countries much at all.

Saturday will be Hollywood Stuidos

They open at 9am but the EMH’s are from 8am until 9am.  We will get there and hit up one ride that we didn’t get to ride last time and grab fast passes for it later in the day.  And we’ll hit up the other hot rides before 9 as well.  There are several shows that we want to watch and can’t wait to see them either.  I am not positive that we will be at HS all day.  Reason being there are a lot of things that we aren’t really that interested in seeing so we will probably hit up the Magic Kingdom a day early. :-)

Sunday will be the Magic Kingdom

The park opens at 9am and closes at I think 9 or 10 but the EMH’s are from close until 2am.  We plan on riding everything they have to offer and catching both of the parades and the fireworks.  This is my favorite park!  We can definitely spend a whole day here.  Last year in February we rode a few things twice because we enjoyed them so much.  This year, hopefully will be no different.  Although I am very worried about the crowds.  I hear that in March and April, due to spring breaks all around that it’s a mad house.  We shall see.  We may be thrilled that we have those EMH’s that night to ride things that we didn’t’ get to earlier in the day.

Monday is Animal Kingdom

They open at 9am but again their EMH’s start at 8am until 9am.  I think the morning EMH’s are the best.  I feel that you can get to the parks and ride things that you normally won’t be able to ride when everybody gets there.  I know that we’ll ride Dinosaur and grab a Fast Pass for later because this is Kelsie’s favorite ride.  We rode it last year 3 times!!  And we’ll also run to Expedition Everest because this year Kelise is tall enough to ride it, we think.  Or at least we’re going to hope she is!  This was Zack’s favorite ride.  We also want to catch a couple of shows here and really explore things we didn’t get to on our last trip.  We know that we want to catch the parade that afternoon but I keep reading that it only takes half a day to do AK.  So we may end up leaving but coming back just to see the parade.

Then we leave to come home on Tuesday, so no parks that day.  Actually we are debating on going to a park before we leave this day as well.  It will be a sorta we shall see thing.

As you can see EMH’s can really help you decide what park to hit on which days.

Next planning tip is eating at the parks, how to save money in doing so and why it’s important to make reservations as soon as you mark your calendar for your trip to Disney World.

We loved EMH on our last trip to Disney! It was awesome to get there before everyone else, and it was also a lot of fun to ride everything late at night when all the other people had already gone home! I love this series...I may work on one myself when we get closer to our trip in August!

That is so cool...I had never heard of that. I will be sure to check with you when we go in 3 years. I think it's such a great idea that you are planning it out. I hear Animal Kingdom is amazing. You are going to have such a good time :)
