Oh my goodness. It has been a whirlwind weekend that went by so fast I don’t think my mind can comprehend it. I am so sore that I want to soak in a tub full of Icy Hot and not move for a week. But it has been well worth it. Or at least it will be.
We are behind in the master bathroom renovation. This is because we ran into major problems hanging the ceiling. We have decided to never hang another ceiling again, unless we are going to tear out the walls as well. Why? Well, because the walls were so uneven, everywhere! The first piece of the ceiling that we “tried” putting up had to be recut 4 times. The measurements were always off from one part of the wall to the corner of where we were placing the green board. And heavy. Good grief. Your arms are never as strong as you think they are. But we finally, finally got it up. It took too long but it’s up.
All the holes have now been patched {except for a few}. We ran into major problems and had to sand the walls first. We also found a medicine cabinet hole that had been hiding away behind the paneling. So we are going to use it, because we like medicine cabinets. *smiles*
I sanded the vanity and the doors. Zack hung up the new exhaust/light. It’s so quiet!! And I can’t wait to see it all lit up when the walls and ceiling have been painted.
Zack is going to start taping and mudding the ceiling tonight. A couple of boards from the medicine cabinet hole have got to be removed as well.
We still have so much to do but I am confident that by next Monday we will be back in our bathroom!!

The kids had a blast outside playing in the awesome weather we had. {Thank you God with providing us with this}
And when they weren’t playing outside they were helping inside.
Ok, so Kayla was cleaning with the Dyson and Kelsie was making sure all the dirty clothes were outta the basket. *smiles*
We made home made doughnuts Saturday morning.
And Sunday night we ended up at Outback for dinner. It was a much needed sit on your hiney while others bring you food break!

I wish I had a medicine cabinet, but in our new house, there isn't one. I don't know why I never thought to ask about one, I just kind of assumed there would be one. We all know what assuming does.
Yayyyy yall are making some serious progress! If you keep it up...it won't be long at all til you are back in the bathroom :) I'm so excited to see the results! Hurry up and get done...I wanna see, I wanna see :) lol.
Mmmmmm....donuts and Outback. Sounds like the perfect day to me! Can't wait to see the finished project when you get it done.
I wanna come over! A new bathroom, cool kids, donuts and Outback...sounds heavenly. Keep up the great bathroom work, it'll be so worth it in the end.
can't wait to see how it will all turnout...sorry such a snag but hey I give you credit for doing it instead of someone charging a high price.
Oh and girls are having such fun too...Outback you bet your sweet self I would have gone and wanted someone to wait on me after all the hard work you two were doing.
Hi Joanna
Looks like your bathroom is nicely taking shape. I know it's going to look great.
Glad your girls are helping you out around the house. Those donuts look gorgeous.
