Last Thursday Zack said that he saw these boats coming in on the bay that looked like they were another time. He quickly went to the marainas website and saw that the Nina and the Pinta were going to be on tour there through the weekend.
They have been in our area before but we were too busy to run over and go on board. We weren’t going to miss them this time!
It was really a lot of fun to sorta step back in time and to imagine Christopher Columbus actually sailing across the world in boats this small. The Nina was built to scale, the only {I believe} exact historical replica. The Pinta was built 50% larger than the original but everything else was the same.

What a fun outing. We have a replica here too and those boats are very small.
