Evenflo Symphony65 Review

One of the items that we all need when we find out we are expecting a baby is a car seat.  With all the choices out there it’s a tough decision to have to make.  Colors, patterns, safety ratings, and practicality are all on our minds when trying to choose the right one. We want it to match our sense of style, be easy to install and be at the top of the safety ratings list.  It can be an overwhelming experience for many new parents.  With the quality of safety improving even us veteran parents have trouble at times.

The first mistake parents make when purchasing their first car seat is selecting the wrong one. Starting out with an infant carrier, sounds like a practical idea because you can carry your baby from the car to your destination with ease, even snapping on to many strollers as well.  {never wake a sleeping baby, right?!}  Then as soon as the baby hits the magic number of 35 (some even 20lbs) pounds which happens often more so than not they are no longer able to fit in the carrier comfortably.  Then your stuck purchasing another car seat.  However, if the baby is still under a year old you have to make sure that the new seat purchase will also face rear.

I have ran into this mistake once before, with my oldest.  So your now on your second car seat {and none of them are cheap} but your child is no longer able to sit comfortably, even though the weight or height limit hasn’t been met.  Maybe he or she is a chunky monkey and your faced with purchasing another seat to accommodate your ever growing child.  This time your a little smarter because hey, you’ve already bought 2 right and you don’t want to purchase another one.

You start looking and run across several seats and make your choice, then it hits you the one you end up purchasing is not only a seat for infants under 35 pounds but will also become a booster seat for children up to 100 pounds.  Then you start thinking why didn’t you think about all of this before?  Because you were caught up in the new parent hype!

image I recently had the chance to work with Evenflo and they have the only car seat that you will ever need to purchase.  They can basically go from utero to the Evenflo Symphony65 to the regular seat belt. We received the Evenflo Symphony65 to review and were very excited about it.

Kelsie of course is 4 years old, but still in a booster seat.  It is recommended that a child stay in a booster until they reach 8 years old and 80 pounds.  And you know what, I don’t care how embarrassing it was to Kayla, I kept her in her booster seat until she was the right age.  Car wrecks are dangerous and they kill so many children because they aren’t properly restrained.

Ok.  So back to the Symphony65
