The Simple Woman’s Daybook ~ Monday #1

image
I see this on Kelli's blog every Monday and so I thought that I’d join along today.  You can find more here.
For Today...
Outside my window... Frost
I am thinking... It’s so cold…Oh how I wished that we would get snow, but living in Florida, that won’t happen.
From the learning rooms... I am trying to get Kayla focused at school.  She is far more capable of performing above the level she is right now.
I am thankful for... My family…They mean so much to me.
From the kitchen... Beef O’ Brady’s.  This is not a normal place to eat, first time actually.  For Kayla’s school there is going to be a fund raiser from this restaurant to help pay for the 4th grade trip to the capital.  I thought we’d help out by eating there.
I am wearing... My pj’s and my house coat with slippers.  I am freezing!
I am reading... My morning blogs that I frequent.
I am hoping...to get a design finished up today and start working on another one.
I am creating...a simpler way to organize the household finances.
I am hearing…The sound of silence.  With two kids, this is something that happens on a rare occasion.  I am truly relishing in the moment.

Around the house... We are trying to work on too many projects.  The kitchen isn’t even finished and I started (and almost finished) the bathroom, now I am wanting to repaint our laundry room…Things need to s-l-o-w down!
One of my favorite things... The warm days of spring.  I love winter weather but I am so ready for spring this year.  The budding flowers, the green leaves, Easter!
A few plans for the rest of the week... Help Zack finish up the flooring in the utility room, work on some blog designs, start trying to figure out paint colors for the kids rooms. (see my too many projects)
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

The innocence of being a child.  We all spend our childhood waiting to grow up, wishing time would go by quicker.  We don’t really relish being a child.

I'm with you on the around the house. I need to slow down and concentrate on one thing at a time but it's hard. And what a sweet picture!
