By His Grace We Are Saved

I haven’t written here on this little blog in a while.  I haven’t really had anything that made me feel compelled to write.  I could have shared how Kayla applied for and was accepted into Bay High’s AICE Program, which is a HUGE deal.  Or I could share that we have been sick.sick.sick in our house since the first week of February.  Or I could write about all the things we plan on doing and not doing on Spring Break next week.  Instead, I have kept quiet.
I’ve recently taken a step back and given my life a good hard looking at.  I wasn’t really fond of what I saw.  In January, kinda towards the end I was working out one night, listening to some music on my Kindle. {I’ve got a “mad” rigging system going on so that it’s attached to my elliptical}  There were a few songs on there from a Christian station that I found the Summer before last called WAYFM {you may have heard of it}.  Anyways, I was mid-session, sweating like a man, huffing and puffing trying to catch my breath and then a song came on, Crazy Love by Hawk Nelson and I had a revelation.  I started really listening to the song, listening with all new ears.  At this point tears started stinging my eyes and I started praying…praying to God that I needed him in my heart, in my life.  So now you can picture me; sweat dripping off my forehead, tears rolling down my face, huffing and puffing out of breath from crying and working out…I was a hot mess!!
The next week or so we were invited to church by my sister-n-law.  We have been going ever since.  Well, ok we have missed a couple of Sundays when we’ve been sick.  But we have made the last 3..in a row!
Kelsie had her 3rd Sunday in children’s church this past weekend and LOVES it! {she had been staying with us} They had Baptisms this past Sunday and Kelsie said she wants to be Baptized.  Now, her Faith can have it’s own post because it’s HUGE!  Larger than most adults that I know.  She has a huge gift of Faith that she has had and been expressing for years.  And Kayla….Kayla is a changed person!  She accepted Christ into her heart March 3rd and plans on getting Baptized soon!!
There is so much more that I want to document here that I’m going to be working on.  But for now I must go and cook dinner! :-)

Praise the Lord! So glad you accepted Christ, sweaty & all. He doesn't care when or where we accept Him, all that matters is that we did! Awesome blog!
