Celebrating Love Giveaway

GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED

I love to give little gifts that mean something more than a person’s favorite musical album or their favorite dvd. Sure those are gifts that a person would love to have, but are they really something that they will keep forever and cherish? I mean music and movie choices change as we grow older. But one thing that a person will keep forever {most likely} is a book. But not just any book, a book with quotes, small stories and poems, a book that tells a person what you mean to them or a book celebrating a couples love for one another. I gave a book similar to both of my parents on various holidays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, etc. These books all meant something to each of them. As far as I know my daddy still has his book and I received my mothers after she passed away. But these were gifts that they treasured the most. Wouldn’t you like to give a gift like that to someone?

Well, you can without leaving your house. 1-800flowers.com has the perfect imagebook for gift giving and it’s called Celebrating Love. Celebrating Love is a book of love quotes, stories and poems. It’s something that you can give somebody and write a little note inside and the person will remember it forever. I received one to review and a copy to giveaway.

The day that I received this book I stood in the kitchen reading little snippets to Zack and we giggled and some of the quotes and shared similar experiences with a few of the stories. It really was Celebrating Love! This would make a great book for a significant other or to as a wedding shower or anniversary gift. There are some wonderful quotes about love. I know that you or whoever you give it too will love it!

I had tried out for high school cheerleader the summer of my freshman year. So that summer, all the cheerleaders would meet at the high school for practices and to make run-throughs for the players during the upcoming season. Well, this guy, Mike, kept showing up at the high school to get my attention. We met outside in the open hallway on a few days to chat. He was so cute and funny....and persistant! During the first day of school, I was going into my English class and he was waiting outside the door and flirted with me by prestending to throw his elbow in my face like a karate move or something. (He was a brown belt in karate) It got my attention and later that day he asked to give me a ride to the first football game. I said yes and after the game, he drove me up to my house to drop me off in his white Mustang and we kissed and he gave me his Senior ring to wear. And we've been together almost every single day for the last 33 years. We've been married for 30 of those years. We've shared so much together. Love, tears, family deaths, financial issues, family issues, our faith in God and an undeniable, magnetic connection that only true love can hold onto and survive. He is my Valentine, best friend and love of my life. We will be together till the end of time.

Christina - xristya@rock.com - I met my significant other in a Botanical Garden. I was with my cousin, who was visiting from another city, and he was with Kathy, a girl I'd known in high school. It turned out that we both wrote poetry and had been editors of college literary journals! I'll always remember the light blue shirt he wore that day, to which he'd pinned a red rose!
