It’s time…for change

Something has gotta give.  Last weekend when my family was in town we took pictures.  Lot’s of pictures.  After all, you take pictures to help preserve memories.  Memories that 15 years from now you can look back on and think about that day/night/event/moment and remember.  Pictures come at a price, usually paying with self esteem.  {or at least that is what I pay with}  I’m not posting the photo here that I’m referring too, at least not right now. But let’s just say that maybe the angle was bad or maybe it was just me.  Either way, I’m not happy with it.
The time has come, it’s time for change.
I was taking a bubble bath with Kelsie tonight and relaxing in the tub.  I was nauseas with a headache.  The nausea was caused from a small {Kelsie sized bowl} or ice cream that I had consumed about 10 minutes prior.  I headache came right about the same time.  This is something that has been happening for weeks now.  But it’s something that I have gotten used too.  However, I know it’s not normal.  Zack mentioned maybe I was becoming lactose and tolerant.  Maybe.  He also mentioned the fact that diabetes runs in the family and maybe that was it.  Maybe.  Either way, change is coming.
I just sat for about 30 minutes going through every Shape and Fitness magazine I have, ripping out recipes.  Thankfully, this is a pay day week, which means a grocery shopping week.  I plan on making out my menus for the next two weeks out of recipes that I have found.  We are going healthy.  I’m done with the fried foods and potatoes for a side dish.  I am done with munching on potato chips, chocolate chips, melted cheese, and junk.
I’m gonna update every week on my meals and snacks and what I’ve found that’s good and what’s not.
It’s time…for change!

Good for you! Good luck!

I am lactose intolerant and headaches are one of the side effects I get if I have dairy.

I'm with you on being time for a change. For us it would be a HUGE change, but we can all do it. Can't wait to see what you post about this adventure. There's a blog I read...summer, you should check it out because she has great tips about eating more natural and healthy.
