A Recipe! Grilled Stuffed Burritos

june 2010 001

So last week I posted about our mishap with Taco Bell, if you haven’t read it, you should definitely check it out, especially if your ever in my neck of the woods!

Anyways…we basically decided we can not only do it better, we can do it cheaper!  We made these with what we had on hand, so that’s what basically free! :-)

What do you need?

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • flour tortillas
  • shredded cheese
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 packet taco season
  • sour cream
  • anything else you want on your burrito

What do you do?

  1. Cook your beef, drain the grease add your seasoning and mix in your rice.
  2. Now layer your tortilla shells with your rice/beef mixture, cheese, sour cream and whatever else you want.
  3. Fold like a burrito and set aside.
  4. Once you have all your burritos ready put them in a skillet that has been heated on med high.  Use your spatula and press the burrito onto the bottom of the skillet and flip, do the same to the other side.  {of course you will brown it to your desired color}

Enjoy!  Yummy and best part cheaper and far more than you’ll get from your local Taco Bell!  Add anything you want besides what we did…you can add diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, jalapenos, guacamole, etc.

I do love Mexican and you need a good substitute since your TB is bad. I will have to try this because I do love their grilled stuffed burritos.

Oh my my my...that looks sooooooo good! Haven't read about your Taco Hell experience yet. I haven't been able to get online much since I'm transitioning out at work and someone is on my computer now while I shadow soooo.

Can't wait to see you this weekend! I'm so excite.
