Breaking Up is Hard to do

As I headed to the closet this morning to find something to wear, I start pulling out pants that I had not worn in a while, thinking “well I’ve lost 7 pounds in the last couple of weeks and I know that my waist is smaller so I’m sure that they will fit now”.  I mean I have noticed a difference in the way some of my jeans fit.  They actually fit now without the battle with the blueberry muffin. I guess I can thank all that cardio and strength training I’ve been doing!

So I pull on a pair of pants that I got a couple of months ago and notice the still snug fit in the thigh region. And as I look down and see my thighs looking more like sausages in their casing, I start thinking and then I start talking, to my lower half.

Dear Butt, Hips and Thighs:  We have been together for far too long.  I know that your genetic because my mother had the same figure, bigger on the bottom and smaller on the top.  Sure an hour glass figure is flattering on all, as a matter of fact most women want an hour glass figure and I’m not asking you to go away completely just to minimize yourself….please.

I know that Zack loves you, but it’s time to pack up and move on.  We have been working out, hard and I thought by now that the saddles would have packed their bags and left, because who wants to be put through the torture I’ve been putting you through, the aches and pains, the heat and ice.

But this is ok, you have motivated me to even work harder than before to get you to leave.  You will leave whether you want to or not.  I understand that breaking up is hard to do, but some things aren’t meant to be and I think our relationship has come to an end.

Best Regards, Joanna

I need to have this conversation with my midsection. I know strangers want to ask me when I'm due. Thank goodness they don't, I'd have to hurt someone.
