Build Your Own Fajitas – What’s For Dinner Thursday

This wasn’t the first time we have made fajitas, this is how I knew not to include peppers because the kids nor I like them, so it was just onions and steak.  However, this was the first time that we did “build your own”.
Kelsie had fun putting hers together, it made her feel grown.  Plus, she ate it all!

What do you need?
  • Your choice of steak or chicken
  • 1 medium red onion
  • Your choice of Bell Peppers, but into strips {we didn’t use them}
  • McCormick Fajita season packet
  • Flour Tortillas
  • Your choice of toppings
What do you do?
  1. Cook your choice of meat until it’s done, set aside.
  2. Cook peppers and onions until the peppers are soft and the onions are translucent.
  3. Put the meat in with the peppers/onion mix and turn on med low heat {we’re just wanting to warm the meat back up}
  4. Add in the season packet and 1/4 cup hot water
  5. Once heated you are ready to build your own fajita
Simple, easy, yummy and fun!  My kind of dinner. *smiles*

I love Mexican! This sounds so yummy. Maybe we can have Mexican when we meet up in Florida.

Those sound delicious! I LOVE fajitas! Lexi also does better when she makes her own on something like that.

It is snowing in Southern Oklahoma today/tonight. We are supposed to get between 3 - 6 inches.♥
