What To Do With Your Used Jars and Chalk Board Paint

I have been holding on to salsa jars, pickle jars, and jam jars. {the glass ones}  I keep wondering what to do with them.  I thought maybe I’d spray paint them like I did for Kayla's room.  And then I was thinking nah, already did that plus I actually don’t have the extra $$ to go out and purchase spray paint.
So I thought why not just use what I got!  Out came the chalk board paint!

Yes, that is the same chalk board paint that I keep using around here!  I tell you, head out to your local Home Depot or Lowes and get some!  This was tinted to match in our kitchen, it comes in so many colors.
So I had Zack {because he’s so particular about even lines} tape off small sections for me to paint chalk board labels.
Once they were painted (3 coats) I decided that they still needed something.  So I added some twine!  Love me some twine…it’s so versatile.

And where are these jars now?  The playroom!  I decided that they’d be perfect in here to hold all their pencils, stuff and paint brushes.  They are sitting on top of the book case in there.
I told y’all I’d be working slowly on this room…And so I am.

And yes, that is a Susie sign up there.  I purchased it from here a couple of weeks ago when she listed them in her Etsy shop.  I thought that it’d be perfect in here.  It has some pink but red as well, and green..I wanted to bring in some green!
Those baskets have all the girls’ art supplies from coloring books to crayons to construction paper to old magazines for projects.
I will be replacing the ribbons with little tags soon.  Can’t wait to work on them and show ya’ll!
Don’t forget tomorrow is 52 Cookies in a Year and I will be posting a cookie recipe!  If you have one to share get it ready I will have Mr. Linky up.

I have been saving jars also to do this too...I just need to get on with the project. Question...tell me did you paint the bookcase black. I have those you see at Big Lots/Walmart that sell for either white or brown...can those be spray painted and do I have to prime it before hand or spray right on over it? Thankf in advance for your help!
