Vintage Lamp Made Over

When I was a little girl I remember these lamps that were in my bedroom glass and round with hobnail.  As I grew older I wanted them out of my room because they were just too “old” and not my “style”.  I wanted blue and something that didn’t scream old lady like.
We moved to Florida when I was 15 and to me they still weren’t my “style” so my mother put them in our guest room.   When Zack and I married got married I guess I still didn’t like them because they found themselves packed up moving back to Alabama with mother and daddy,
My sister n law ended up getting these lamps in a box full of stuff from my dad.  She ask me if I wanted them, one was broke, but I of course said yes sir re!  They are certainly my style now! *smiles*

Dirty, gold and rusted.  As you can see by the lamp on the left that part of the lamp is broke.  But this is ok because in the box was the broken piece.
I took them apart and gave them some much needed TLC.

Throughout my busy week last week I was able to find the time to glue, paint and clean these lamps and they now have a new home in our bedroom.

Those lamps are soooo pretty.

Sorry I haven't gotten back over here I have been terribly sick but wanted to ask if you can just get certifications instead of having the expense of school bills to pay off.

Sorry-I've been out of commission -- terribly sick for over a week-- but do you want to know how I cut my grocery bill in half? go to Cut your grocery bills now plus I have a give a way and a new MckLinky party starting Monday

I know you told me I would remember these lamps when I saw them and as many times as I spent the night with you in our childhoods and as many times as I've spent the night there,I have to tell you...I don't remember them one bit, lol!
But they do look so beautiful..you did a really good "spiffing" them up.

Wow, the lamp turned out so pretty. I see crystal lamps all of the time and I've never thought to take them apart and pain the brassy parts. Thanks for the idea!!
