Versatile Decorating

When I purchase an item I rarely think outside of using it for what I am purchasing it for.  How bout you?  Do you buy that vase and think I’ll do this for summer, fall, Halloween, Christmas, etc?
Well, I did just that on July 25th.  How did I remember that date?  Well, it was Christmas in July on QVC.  Don’t you remember all my posts leading up to it?
Of course all weekend they had nothing but Christmas gifts and decorations.  I had watched most every show, except while I was sleeping and then I was dreaming of watching. (um, yes I have it pretty bad)
Well I kept seeing this one decoration that I was completely unaware of if it was for sell of just an on set decor piece.  Finally they previewed it and I nearly fell off the couch.  I was so excited!
Needless to say I bought it.  They cam in white, gold and red.  Seeing as the white can be used year round.  I got it!
What in the world is white and can be used year round from Christmas in July?

Battery operated with timer lighted twigs!  Yes, you can make these, I am completely aware of this.  But you won’t have a timer.  That is what I wanted it for so instead of using a lamp when we leave trying to remember to turn it on, this will just come on automatically.
But picture it…See my vase that I painted, the moss I added and the one little shell and star fish?  Well come fall and leaves and pumpkins will take over.  Halloween, I have already looked into making (yep, you read that read, making) felt ornaments and Christmas will have some sort of Christmas decor.  See, versatile, year round decorating!
I thought ahead on this purchase.  Do you think ahead on your purchases?

That is soooo neat!! I can say I usually don't think ahead about purchases. If I like it I buy it!

You are very creative. I like the lights. I sometimes think ahead. Sometimes not. :)
