What’s For Dinner Thursday

We had this meal for Mother’s Day.  It was so yummy and if you love BBQ, then you have to try this out!
May 056
Do you watch Food Network?  Sure you do!  Well then you know who the Neely’s are!  This is their BBQ rub and sauce recipe!
What will you need?
Dry Rub (this can be used on any meat your going to bbq)
8 ounces paprika
4 ounces sugar
2 teaspoons onion powder

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
BBQ Sauce
2 cups ketchup
1 cup water
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
5 tablespoons light brown sugar
5 tablespoons sugar
1/2 tablespoon fresh ground black pepper
1/2 tablespoon onion powder
1/2 tablespoon ground mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
What do you do?
Rub the meat down with the dry rub…Allow to marinate, covered.  We usually marinate bbq over night but this isn’t necessary.
Mix all the ingredients together for your sauce in a medium sauce pan over medium high heat.  Bring to a boil.  Turn the heat to low and simmer for one hour and 15 minutes.
Grill your meat until it is nearly done.  Baste the sauce on both sides and cook until done.
Grilled Corn
What do you need?
White or yellow corn in husks.
What do you do?
Pull the husks down enough to pull all the silk off…Then soak your corn in the husks for about 20 minutes…Heat your grill up and add your corn, rotating every 5 minutes or so…It takes about 15 to 20 minutes depending on the temperature of your grill.  We normally cook at at 375.

Serve this with garlic butter!
What will you need?
2 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Mix ingredients together and  spread over the corn while it’s hot.
I hope you get a chance to link up and show us what's for dinner Thursday at your place!
