Tonsillitis

I noticed a slight sore throat last night on the left side of my throat…Zack took a look and saw drainage, so I thought stupid crazy post nasal drip.  I didn’t take anything, seeing as this is a normal occurrence around here because of all my allergies….

Well, I woke up at 5am this morning in tears!  Everytime I would swallow my ear would feel as if somebody was stabbing it with a fork. (would have said knife, but fork seems to be a little more humane sounding)

I got up, turned on the coffee pot, hoping that the hot stuff would be done soon…Took some Motrin and laid down on the couch..Drank the coffee…it didn’t help but seemed to make it feel worse.  So I got up gargled with warm salty water and ate a popsicle.  This really helped.

I laid on the couch and when the Motrin kicked in I went back to sleep….Anyways…Going into too many details…Went to the dr…got tonsillitis.  Great!

Funny thing…well not funny really, but it’s only my left tonsil swollen and hurting.  Anyways..I found out that you can get tonsillitis, due to your body fighting off an infection.  Come to find out your tonsils are a great defender.  That’s great and wonderful but this is at a horrible time…I have a ton of blog designs that I need to be doing plus this is the last week of this Spring Fitness Challenge…I will not feel like working out like this for sure!  Although a diet of soup and popsicles may help me out.

Anyways…Gonna run, gotta take some pain medicine and eat a popsicle.
