Kayla’s Bedroom…Design Plan

A couple of weeks ago I happen to win a design consultation from Chris at Just Beachy.

I emailed her pictures as soon as I could and she followed up with a series of questions…Since it was Kayla’s bedroom, she and I answered these questions and got them back to Chris.

Well, I got an email yesterday from her, and wow…I was just shocked and what all she had sent to us.  I couldn’t wait to show Kayla, knowing that she would fall in love the minute her eyes came upon it.

Kayla came home yesterday and I had this to show her….

That of course is her bed…She has a small jut out (is that even a technical term?) and she suggested this amazing layout.  Wow, I just wouldn’t have thought to do curtains from the ceiling like that.  Beautiful!  The stripes on the wall where her headboard will be…

This bedding is a duvet cover from Pottery Barn…We love us some Pottery Barn!  She suggested I paint the dresser in her bedroom…Not a problem, it really needs to be refinished.  Round mirrors for her walls…Went searching…found an awesome deal at Target for these babies!  White curtain panels for her windows as well as around her bed.  There is a bookcase in there now, it’s a cherry color…She suggested we paint it white as well, and go with a pink or green on the inside…It’s gonna be so cute.

I can’t wait to get started on her room.  It’s going to be a slow process..But I will be posting pictures as we go.

Oh and an update on Kelsie’s bedroom….I tried to paint that tree…and well, let’s just say that it didn’t work out so well.  I have no skills what so ever!  I am the kind of person that needs something to trace, which I didn’t have.  So, at the moment, her room is finished…I will post pictures on Monday.

Cute design. I love the colors she used and it's very feminine.

Lucky KAYLA to win this awesome makeover for her bedroom. The plans look so beautiful, fun, and hip for a young girl. I can't wait to see it all come together.
I'm so happy for both you and Kayla.
