Spring Cleaning….

**Edited to add** The name of the grout cleaner...It's made by a company, Miracle Sealants Company, and is called Tile and Stone Cleaner. It says on the bottle for grout, tile and natural stone. It's in a blue bottle. I got it at that Orange store near the ceramic tile. **
In an attempt to redo the girls/guest bathroom, I am doing so on a strict budget. Flooring in this bathroom is ceramic tile, original to the house of course, that was built in 1969. Along with this original tile, is what I believe is it’s original dirt as well! EEK!
Yes, ladies, the grout from this tile is yuck! I mean, at first, I really didn’t think that it was dirt, just the color of the grout. Why you ask? Because I clean the floor in the bathroom with bleach and I thought bleach got everything clean.
Well after much searching online and concocting my own cleaners to clean the floor, I got nowhere fast. So it prompted a visit to the big Orange store for some grout cleaner.
I found grout and tile cleaner by the gallons and spray bottles…But most of them all were toxic (use in well ventilated areas). Well, I didn’t want to melt the paint on the newly painted walls, so I looked further and found something that wasn’t so toxic.
Yay! Now, on my hands and knees like Cinderella I have been scrubbing with a grout brush (you can find these at Target) and this cleaner and look how far I have gotten….
march2009 031 Oh yeah baby! Look up at the top where I have cleane! Cinderella don’t have anything on this Southern Girl! I started by diluting my cleaner (following directions) only to get nothing accomplished, so I just poured the stuff straight from the bottle, scrubbed it, let it sit for about 10 mins or so came back scrubbed some more, rinsed and it was beautiful! I now only have a small section to finish up.
Stay tuned for the big reveal soon! We only have a couple of things left in here, and we are all done!!

Do tell the cleaner. We have the same tile in white and blue checks. And we have the same dirty grout!
