Shopping at Hobby Lobby

Ok, so yesterday I mentioned that I was headed to Hobby Lobby to purchase my tree branch and other items for Kelsie’s bedroom.
After Kayla got out of school yesterday we headed in that direction.  I love that store by the way and I have to refrain from buying lot’s of the items that I don’t need that are usually always 50% off.  This time it was all the Easter decor.  I had to move away from that area before I started buying a bunch of ceramic bunnies that I couldn’t afford!
I went and searched and searched for a tree branch.  I couldn’t find a thing, I ended up asking and the lady showed me about 4 different ideas of their tree branches.  Finally low and behold, one lying all alone, that was it, she was coming home with me!
I picked up my poster board, scrapbook paper and a small wooden basket.

I can’t wait!  I am so excited, and I haven’t even started, but that will change today!  I may even have to hang it up before I paint!  *smiles*  I will try and control that urge.
Oh, here is my basket….

I painted it colors from Kelsie’s bedroom, she really needed something to put her cds in.  This isn’t it’s new home, but it will work at the moment. Oh and the base color is the Snowdrop color from Behr.  Oh, I need to show you what it looks like….
march2009 090 It is not the color I want at all.  So, I went searching for the bedroom on Pottery Barn last night, and I knew that some paint colors were listed and others were not.  I crossed my fingers hoping that I could find that paint color in the picture from the catalog.  Guess what….It’s called Caribbean Mist by Benjamin Moore.  Now I had to search for a place in town that sells BM paint.  I will have to drive out to the beach to get it, but it’s the color I want for this room.  That bedding has the same colors as Kelsie’s bedding, so it will look perfect!  We will get that this weekend and I will begin painting!

It is going to be soo cute! You could probably have one of the 'big box' stores color match the BM color for you, I have done it before and they do a good job!
Or, it's a good excuse to go on a car trip! Can't wait!

Cute project! I know it's hard passing up the sales at Hobby Lobby. I almost never buy anything at full price there because they always go on sale every other week! ;)

I NEED to go to HL soon and get me a glittered chick that they had. Went to one last week and they were all sold out. :(
I cannot wait to see that room!! Do you have a cricut?? The Storybook font that I love so much has cute butterflies, birds, and owls{one of your friends mentioned you don't like owls??}, its awesome!! I am sure you can do it yourself easily enough, too!! Did I ever tell you my brother lives in your state?? I could see a real life meeting if we ever go visit!!

Hi, Joanna, Kelsie's room is going to be adorable. I'm glad you found the perfect aqua color for the walls, that's just what I had in mind too. Love the branch idea, you'll have to let me know when you're done with it all.

Hey Joanna! Don't you just love Hobby Lobby? Love your crate, what a great idea! Somehow, I couldn't see the picture of your daughter's room post. I will have to check back on that later. BTW- Thanks a million for leading me to Windows Live Writer! It makes my life so much easier... : )
