I managed to get a shelf for the bathroom and put up a few things in there. Not finished though, yet. I bought a throw rug, but will have to return it tonight because it doesn’t look right. (wrong color) The lighting fixture we bought to go over the sink area, will not work. As a matter of fact, the only kind that will work is something similar to what we have now. Why, you ask? Because who ever built this home (1969) put the hole for the light with the J-Box in it to the left of the sink…WHY!?????!!!! They were crazy, that is why. So we will have to go with some sort of bar lighting. I told Zack, I have looked all over Lowes and Home Depot and couldn’t find anything that I liked, so I have decided to spray paint the one we have white until I can find a brushed nickel that will look good in there.
I have also spent the morning cleaning like a mad woman in Kayla’s room. We are having a 4-point inspection this afternoon for our home owners insurance (we are switching and saving like $500!) and they have to go up in the attic. Well the only attic access is in Kayla’s closet. Let’s just say that her room looked like it exploded! I was in there for about 2 hours cleaning and organizing, throwing away, folding and putting away. Plus I had to clear out her entire closet from clothes to the shelf above her clothing to all the
Tonight we are headed over to Lowes to return the lighting fixture and to Target to exchange the rugs. I suppose we will come home with more than what we go for, like usual. I am eyeing this awesome dirty clothes hamper at Target that would look fabulous in the bathroom that I am working on. So, that may come home with us. We shall see! *smiles*
I need to run, my first load of 6 loads of laundry. Yes, I said 6…I was doing so well, washing a load a day, but I have slacked this past week due to painting the bathroom and doing my projects.
Happy Monday, ya’ll!!

You have been a busy lady!
I'm tired just from reading all that you did! Rondell and I want to be more handy around the house and do things ourselves...we just haven't been brave yet. Keep up the good work, I'm excited to see the finished product.
Ohhh, I can't wait to see everything! You have been busy!
