1. Were you married at the time? Not the time she was conceived, we were engaged, we were married by the time she was born though.
2. What were your reactions when you found out you were pregnant? I was scared and happy. I was scared because I was only 17 at the time and I was worried about what my parents would say.
3. How old were you? 17
4. How did you find out you were pregnant? The normal, missed my monthly visitor and took a test.
5. Who did you tell first? My mother
6. Did you want to find out the sex? Yes
7. Due Date? June 2, 1999
8. Did you deliver early or late? I was induced on my due date. Kayla’s well um “sperm donor” (you can read many stories about him on my other blog JoJos Place and why he now has this name) was in the Army and wasn’t able to be home for that long. I was living with my parents at the time.
9. Did you have morning sickness? Yes, I did
10. What did you crave? Watermelon. I remember it was dead of winter, January and we had to hunt one down. Publix had one and my mother paid $12 for a watermelon the size of a volleyball!
11. Who irritated you the most? It would had to have been the in laws, we never got along from the start.
12. What was your first child’s sex? Girl
13. How many pounds did you gain throughout your pregnancy? 70 pounds, thanks to my mid wife. She was convinced that I was underweight to start with and told me I needed to eat everything in sight to gain weight for myself before I started gaining pregnancy weight. Wished I would have never listened!
14. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? No
15. Where did you give birth? Tyndall Air Force Base
16. How many hours were you in labor? I really do not remember this one at all. I want to say 10 hours.
17. Who drove you to the hospital? My parents and sister n law
18. Who watched? The “donor”, my parents and my sister n law. My dad had not planned on staying, but got stuck in the room.
19. Was it vaginal or c-section? Vaginal
20. Did you take any medicine to ease the pain? It wasn’t that bad until close to the end, and I received the epidural when I was 8 centimeters. I guess I could have went natural by then but I was starting to have some pain.
21. How much did your child weigh? 7lbs 8oz
22. What did you name him/her? Kayla Ann
23. How old is your first born today? 9 years old

I enjoyed learning a bit more about you.
So fun, I love hearing about people's birth/baby stories. As soon as you become a mom you just have this weird need to talk to other moms about the whole experience. Thanks for telling us about it!
