Crayola Pop Art Pixies VIP, NYC – Part 1

What a weekend.  I am just now getting caught up on my lack of sleep.  I must say that as much as I cherish sleeping, missing a lot of it this past weekend was totally worth it.
Kayla and I boarded our flight to New York’s, LaGuardia Airport on Friday morning.  We had a connecting flight in Atlanta.  I have to say as big as Atlanta’s airport is and as intimidated as I felt, it was fairly easy to navigate.

I was terrified about flying, however we both ended up loving it.  The attendant at the gate at our airport ended up being the football coach at Kayla’s middle school.  He told us the best information about flying.  It’s like riding a roller coaster at first and at the end, and then it’s more like riding in a car once you reach altitude.  He was right!  Thank goodness.  I was lucky enough to have a window seat on all of our flights too and from NY, so I spent the majority of the time staring at the beautiful scenery.

When we arrived at the airport we went straight to baggage claim and found the Crayola ladies along with the other mothers and daughters.
We stepped outside and got our first taste of NY!  It was chilly and very dry.  I am so used to the humidity here.  I loved it there.  We got in our van along with mothers and their tweens.  Off the the W Hotel we went.

The first sight of the city. Definitely a moment I’ll remember forever.  It took about an hour to get to our hotel.  The traffic was insane but the worst part of it was the crazy pedestrians!  I don’t think anybody ever waited on an Ok to walk signal.  These people are not worried about being run over, that’s for sure.  They just walk right out in front of cars.
Finally Times Square and the W Hotel.

Our room was on the 25th floor.  It was fabulous.  The W Hotel was wonderful.  I have no complaints at all.  It was the perfect VIP place for our Crayola VIP weekend.

OK first, just seeing your faces makes me miss you so much more...sniff. I can't wait to hear all about your trip. I'm glad everything went smoothly (ATL's airport is pretty easy to get around) and I know you guys had a blast. Um, that room looks AMAZING. Times Square is just breath taking too.

It was so nice meeting you and your sweet daughter. You took some fantastic photos! I was so tired on the drive there that I didn't even think of it. Hope to hang out with you again one day!
