whew…what a day!

I am exhausted, mentally and physically.  There is so much info that I want to share but I just don’t feel like writing big paragraphs so I’ll take it to a bullet post instead! :-)

  • I am officially employed with the school district.  I went to my training seminar and took the test and got my badge!
  • With that being said, I will be subbing starting tomorrow, yes that is the first day of school!  Kelsie’s PreK teacher {from last year} called me yesterday afternoon and told me that her Para had moved to another class and that she needed somebody to sub for her until they filled the position.  I’m excited!
  • About that Para position that needs to be filled…well I am going to take the Paraprofessional Assessment so that I can apply for that position!  The teacher told the principal that I wanted it. {which I do}  So I’m hoping this is a blessing from the good Lord!
  • Kayla went to 6th grade orientation today. Wow.  So much info was shoved in their brains within the few hours we were there.  They ran a bell schedule and we went to all 6 periods.  All her teachers seem really nice.  She’s excited!
  • My house is a wreck.  Literally.  I don’t believe it has ever been this messy.  I haven’t cleaned in almost 3 weeks.  We went out of town last weekend and I didn’t clean before we went.  Then when we came back I couldn’t clean because of my injured tailbone.
  • I did manage to dust the living room and dining room today and run the Swiffer Sweeper down in the same rooms and down the hallway.
  • Kayla vacuumed the rug in the living room! :-D  {I appreciate that}
  • I am nervous about in the morning.  I hope that we can get out the door when necessary.  Kayla has to be at school at 8:05 {school starts at 8:25} but Kelsie has orientation at 8:30 in the morning.  So Zack is taking Kayla to school and Kelsie to orientation.  I just hope that I can manage to make sure everything is ready including myself!  Whew…I am dreading it.  Maybe I should get up at like 5am….nah! :-)

I’ll update more later…I have got to get dinner out of the oven and feed everybody {not literally} and get Kelsie in the bath.

Once you get a routine down you'll be out the door in no time. Try to prepare as much as you can the night before. I'm excited about your new potential position. Good luck tomorrow...you'll be great!!!

After a day or so you will be back in the swing of things. Can't wait to hear how your new venture goes! I think you will end up loving it. Congrats girl!

My advice...cook breakfast pizza, casseroles or quiche the night before while making dinner...then its toss in the microwave, grab n go, out the door the next morning and its a homecooked breakfast...

Congratulations on your employment with the school district! It usually takes us a few days to get back in that early swing of things. Lexi starts back next Wednesday and she can't wait!

Things sound busy! You'll do great.

My kids start school Monday. I am not at all pleased with Blake's situation. He's going to be one of only 4 kids in his class. And while he is in 3rd grade, there may be 2nd graders in his class. Ugh. My house is a mess too!
