House Hunting

Do you ever just look for houses that are on the market?  I can recall when my mother was alive that she would pick up those real estate magazines every where we went.  We weren’t house shopping but she would get them as if we were.  I haven’t thought about it in a long time, but it’s actually kinda fun.

My bff Sherri, looks for houses in her area as well as others.  She’s looking for houses, I think that she’d like to live in one day.  Not that they be on the market then, however you never know.  But it is a lot of fun to look and dream. :-)

I decided to do a little house searching in Bama, because Lord knows one day this girl will be back there one day.  Here is what I found.

And if you notice yes these houses are in a subdivision.  I know a lot of people are against them because of the rules and what not.  But let me defend them by saying you don’t have a neighbor like we do now!  She has help bring the value of our house down because of her yard.  And at least in a subdivision that won’t happen!  The value will always be top notch thankfully to those rules.  Not to mention the fact that I like the idea of my kids growing up being able to ride their bikes on the sidewalks.  Most neighborhoods no longer have sidewalks but most all subdivisions do.  My kids have no where to ride their bikes but in our driveway which isn’t all that large at the moment.

So, that’s my style, I suppose because these are the houses that stuck out to me out of all those pages.  One of these days my house hunt won’t be for fun but will be for real.  I can’t wait!

Wow, you really hit the nail on the head with this one!! I think it's so fun to look at houses that will hopefully be ours "someday". At least it lets me think of what I do and don't want when I move. Looks like those houses are great prices, too, so that's a plus! Have a great day, girl ~ ♥

I LOVE going to look at houses. When I was growing up my mom was a real estate agent and I used to ALWAYS go with her and look at the homes for sale. We can always dream can't we?!?!

I love to house hunt! Sometimes its discouraging to dream though, and know it may not ever happen...but still its majorly FUN! You picked out some really cute ones! I especially love the second one up from the bottom...AND I especially love that you are looking in Bama. Subdivisions are nice. I would live in one in a heartbeat!

When we were building our house or the start of doing it we went into showhomes and loved seeing all the things we did/didn't want. I still love looking at houses...My hubby says we could try and sell ours to make a profit and go build another one but we will have to wait till the market rises before we do that.
