You ever feel like you don’t want to blog? It may even seem like a chore or a hassle. I am feeling that way. I have SO much on my mind to write but nothing pertains to what I have tried to turn this blog into. I have tried so hard to “make it” with this blog, like so many others have done, but have gotten no where.
Blogging is not easy. You have to have a topic and pretty much stick to it. I am not sure why most of my readers are here. In the beginning when I started this blog I kept my personal family life away. But then I thought this is my blog after all so I should write what I want to write and not worry what others think…Which lead to many posts about family problems and my sadness from my mothers passing and my dad’s going off on the deep end. However, I then felt guilty. Guilty, because I felt like I let my readers down. I felt like I wasn’t showing y’all what you wanted to see and read.
So I stopped writing so much of my personal life. Which now leads me to this blog funk that I am currently in. I want to write about my life, my kids, my feelings, thoughts, decorating {when I have something}, etc.
I want to keep showing ya’ll the cute things that I buy…Only problem, I’m not buying anything at the moment because that takes money. And at this moment I don’t have the money to be spending on all these things to show y’all. Sure I can tell you what I want to buy or even show y’all what I want to do, but unless your actually seeing it in my own house, does it matter?
I have struggled with the thought of even keeping this blog at all. Or maybe merging this blog with JoJos Place {my review blog}. I have thought heavy on this the past day or so. It’s still up in the air of what I’m going to do with this place but as of right now, it will stay, however in the future it may not be the same.

I'm with you. I haven't blogged much at all the last 6 months or so, and lots of times I think I should just close it down.
For what it's worth though - I do really enjoy your blog. ALL of it, not just the decorating stuff :o)
Omgsh I would be so sad if you didn't blog anymore.. I love all your stuff not just your decorative stuff!
I loved your meals and cookies in a year blogs! :)
Hope you don't shut it down! good luck with your decision!

I hear what you are saying. I think anyone who has ever blogged understand it takes a lot of work.
I also understand about letting the readers down. You see all these blogs with all these comments and followers and you wonder what to they have that I don't. But I have come to realize that I want to blog about our life. I know my blog isn't interesting to most but it is the story of our life. I keep up with recipes, projects, events and the family. I am currently working on printing my blog into a book. I am so excited now a year later that I have blogged about us and that in years to come my kiddos will have a journal of our life. By keeping this in mind it keeps me blogging.
I have just recently started reading your blog regularly and I really enjoy all the different post, it helps relating to other mothers.
When I read blogs, I like to read about people's lives and what they are doing. It is the personal element that makes them interesting to me. That is something that I like about your blog.
I feel like that sometimes. My last post kinda felt like an obligation. I am keeping up with my new weight loss blog because it really helps me out even if no one reads. I dont want to get rid of my blog because I live to vent on it & the support is amazing! Hope you find what works for you soon =D
I think we all go through this. But you are right you shouldn't care what others think- I come here to see you as you-Not a fake. What I love about you Joanna is you keep it real.
Sometimes you just need to take a break from blogging. I do it all the time. :)

But, but...I'd miss you (because it's all about me right?) I do understand about the decorating and not having the money. I pray that you'll be at peace with whatever decision you make.
I am with Nichole...I enjoy reading whatever you write, whether it's about decorating or not. To me, the friendships formed through blogging have gotten me through some difficult times. Sharing the hurts and the pain you feel about your life, actually makes it easier for me. I feel like I'm not as alone because I know someone else understands. I think you should just write whatever you want to write. You don't have to blog for anyones approval. If it's something that you enjoy doing, then do it-for you. And no one else. Good luck with your decision. I sure would miss ya' if you were gone! :)
Oh No! Don't go Joanna...I really enjoy your blog and not all the fake you see other places...your real and share things that you have and what goes on...I don't care if you buy anything...really lots of folks are not buying with the way things are....just do what makes you happy and not worry about what others think...I really hope you don't close this out...you share so much of you and that is the real reason I come here...your all about you and your family.

If I handcuff myself to your blog would that be a sign I didn't want you to leave?
Stay.... hang out with me. I love reading your thoughts, your decorating ideas, even the family stuff. We all have them... we all need to vent.
Blog about what you want.... we all love you and will vent with you!
I know exactly how you feel. I always think, Oh that would be good to blog about! But then dont have time or whatever reason gets in the way.
I try and try to get my readers up, but it just doesnt seem to happen. I have 45 followers but get maybe 3 comments. Its definitely hard. I also understand the desire to be always posting awesome finds or cool projects, but I cant do it either.
I enjoy your blog though!! :)
