What’s For Dinner Thursday!

**edited to add....I still can't get the Linky working. It's there and then goes away. Linky will be up next week for sure. If you will just add your link in the comments that would be great!**

I love my slow cooker, but honestly I only fix roast in it, I really need to search for some really good recipes to try out. Share some if you have them, I’d love new recipes!
This weeks dinner comes from my slow cooker….
Roast with Potatoes and Carrots
008
This is straight from the Lipton Onion Soup Mix Box. It’s the best roast recipe that I have found. I do add (which isn’t mentioned below) a 1/4 cup Dale’s sauce to this…We live Dale’s sauce!
1 Tbsp. oil
3-to 3-1/2- lb. boneless beef pot roast (rump, chuck or round)
4 carrots, sliced
4 medium all-purpose potatoes (about 2 lbs.), cut into 1-inch pieces
2 envelopes Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
3/4 cup water
1. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and brown roast.
2. Arrange carrots and potatoes in slow cooker. Top with roast and set aside.
3. Combine Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix with water in glass measuring cup. Add to skillet, scraping up any brown bits from bottom of pan. Add soup mixture to slow cooker. Cook covered on Low 8 to 10 hours or HIGH 4 to 6 hours. Remove roast and vegetables to serving platter.
4. Thicken gravy, if desired, by combining additional 1/4 cup water with 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour. Cook on HIGH 15 minutes or until thickened.
I hope that you will link up your recipes as well! I am sure we would all love to try out something new!
I am trying a new linky out since Mr. Linky can't seem to retrieve my password, but that maybe because I totally forgot it!

I mostly use mine for roast too! I've done a BBQ pork in it though and that went well. On my side bar, Miller Racing Family does a crock pot post every Tuesday. She has some great ideas.

Crock Pots are the best aren't they? I'm gonna cook bbq pork in mine tonight so I can bring it to work for a potluck tomorrow.
