I used to be a planner, a thinker, a routine person….Well, I am still sorta the routine part. I do get up every morning and drink my coffee while on the computer. That’s routine right?
I am overwhelmed with projects. The kitchen is just not finished, plain and simple. There is no better way to put it. Even though this project isn’t mine anymore, I feel some sort of responsibility behind it. I have done my part of the painting, now it’s Zack’s turn. He won’t let me touch the cabinet doors, because they need to be sanded down to the bare wood, and the holes filled in for the new knobs. He says that since he is the perfectionist, this is the perfect job for him. Ok. Fine. Wonderful. But, dang it…This project has been going on since January of 2008! It’s about time to get it finished. He promised by Christmas. It come and went. He promised by Valentine’s Day. It come and went. He promised by Easter. It’s coming and going just the same. I guess it will always remain at 90% complete. For my birthday present (in June) I want my kitchen finished!
Ok. Kelsie’s bedroom. I was going to paint the same awesome thing that Susie did to her daughters room. But, my skills are so not up to hers, and we had no extra paint incase I messed up and no money to buy more. I had a 40% off coupon to Hobby Lobby and so I bought vinyl letters instead. So, what did I do, I cheated and put up vinyl letters, which I am not completely happy with. I still have not made her other butterflies for her wall and tree. Oh and that tree. After drawing the one up from Pottery Barn (from our inspiration room), Zack said since he’s the artist (which his skills are far more superior then mine, he’s a drafter for goodness sakes), he said he would draw my tree and let me paint it. Well, that’s another kitchen project. Not done…Actually the pencil hasn’t even touched the wall! I even have the paint for the thing. I am thinking of pulling out the level and going for it myself. I will just find a good eraser. (I am sure there are some around here somewhere) This is the last part of her room and it’s finished.
I have got to get Kayla’s room cleaned up. It’s a
Not to mention Easter dinner at our home Sunday. I had hoped to get some flowers planted on Saturday so the egg hunt will be pretty. *smiles* The house cleaning that I still need to do and the fact that I still haven’t purchased our ham!
I have a hair appt tonight because I just couldn’t wait any longer. It’s been nearly 8 weeks. I have/had the stacked cut that is oh so popular and cute. But let me add when you are deciding to grow it out, well, your better off shaving your head. It’s that bad. My hair, I can’t do anything with it! So I had to get in to get a trim before Easter. I plan on having some pretty pictures made that day, including Zack and I.
I hope that you never feel as overwhelmed as I do at the moment. Although, being a mom/wife/domesticated lady will do that to you. *smiles*

Goodness! I know how you feel though. It always seems like I have a million things going at once. I make lists, but they dont always seem to help. I've had a tv in my kitchen for 4 months!
I think it might just be normal life....so many projects and things to do and not enough time and sometime energy to get them done. I say you go for drawing the tree yourself and quit waiting on your hubby to do it. Maybe then he will step right up and get it done if he thinks you are "screwing" it up.....lol. Same with the kitchen!
I'm right there with you so keeping you in my prayers. Journaling helps, I will say...just getting it all out. I've had my bathroom taped for over a year now to be painted. UGH!
Oh and I have not forgotten about your package. There is something I had to order so it may not be to you until next week!
Oh, I know the feeling and its not fun. I pray that you can just chip away at what you can do and not stress about the rest. Easier said than done, I know!! Hope you have a wonderful Easter!!

By the way, I don't think you need to draw the tree all the way, just start painting!! My mom and I did a tree on my wall when I was a teenager and I believe that she just free-painted it.
