Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

1.  I came home to a nice size pile of lumber on Friday.  It smelled wonderful under the carport.  I can’t wait to show y’all what all of this is going to turn into!

2.  Weekends…Oh, how I long for you when Monday morning rolls around.  I wished that I would have slept in longer.  I wished I would have lounged in my pj’s longer watching HGTV,   However, I know all this work is going to pay off!

3.  After creating another a recipe it makes me want to write a cook book even more.  The smiles on my family’s faces and the fact that they go back for seconds tells me that I am doing something right.

4.  Eagles…Not the team but the bald kind.  Have y’all seen them?  I am obsessed to say the least.  If my computer is open then chances are I’ve got the eagles on as well.  I can’t stop watching them.  I watch them eat, sleep, chirp, poop…yea, I said poop.  I’ve seen it happen twice three times now. {I had twice but while writing this I have them pulled up and one just popped again!}  I am utterly amazed I tell you that the babies won’t poop in their nest!  If you haven’t seen them you have got to go and check them out!  You can see them here.  There is also information on the site about the mother and daddy and location.  It’s just amazing!

5.  I have been steadily reading Uprooting Anger.  It’s not a book that I can just pick up and read right through.  It’s hard for me to admit this, but it’s rather boring.  I know that it’s a Christian self help book but it’s just something that I can’t get in to.  I am reading it because I need too.  I’m almost finished thank goodness.  I am learning things though and that’s all that matters.  I am also coming away with some great scriptures that I want to memorize.

I just checked the eagle link....sooo cool. Think I'm gonna keep em pulled up on my computer here at work today :)

I have a hard time ready 'some' self help books. There's lots to learn, but it's hard when it doesn't keep your attn. Maybe you can find more of a light-hearted style with humor maybe to make it a lil more interesting. Thing about books is that you don't know til you start diving in. Proud of you for working on it though.

Excited about what creating is to be built out of the lumber. Sure the kids will love it!

...also think its cool u and Tracy are catching up. Should be interesting....please keep me posted!!!

I can't wait to see what you are making with your pile of lumber! All I did this weekend was lounge around and HGTV and I wish it wasn't Monday too:)

Weekends, weekdays are all flowing together for me during my convelescence(sp). I'm glad to see all the busy bee people getting spring stuff done. If I can't do it myself, I can take a little dose of long-distance productivity from you and Amanda when I read y'all's blogs:)

Will the set be done for our visit? The girls will love that so much and I'm sure it'll be used for a long time. I need to be more productive on the weekends but I've been slacking. Like right now I should be doing something and I'm not...sigh. I love all of your recipes and I can see why you'd write a cookbook. I'm so sorry the book is boring, but you are a trooper for sticking with it.
