New Year New Me Update

Working out this week was totally different.  Which is what I needed!  As much as I detest workout dvd’s, I think my body needed a change.  I still used my elliptical, just not as much.
Thursday – Turbo Sculpt 40 minutes of strength training
Friday – Didn’t work out
Saturday – Turbo Jam 20 Minutes
Sunday – Elliptical 550 calories
Monday – didn’t work out
Tuesday – Turbo Jam Booty Sculpt Plus Abs {30 minutes} and I did 15 minutes on the elliptical and burned 210 calories
Wednesday – Turbo Jam 20 minutes and 30 minutes on the elliptical and burned 550 calories
I am continuing to drink plenty of water.  Although I will admit I have had a couple of glasses of sweet tea.  This is only because I felt like I was just craving it.  I have had quiet a few other cravings as well.  From coconut, which I hate!  But I satisfied that with Almond Joy creamer in my coffee {Heavenly!!}.  I also had a craving, strongly for supreme pizza, which we never ever get because I only eat pepperoni's on my pizza.  But we went to Pizza Hut Saturday night and got supreme and it was fantastic!!  The onions and bell peppers on it…yum!  I did discover that I do no like mushrooms at all.  Yuck!!  I have tried them before.  Zack sautéed some once and I tasted them and didn’t like them.  However he said on the pizza I wouldn’t be able to taste them.  he.was.wrong.  There was one on my slice that happened to be near the crust.  I ate my whole slice up until that point and when I tasted that, I couldn’t swallow it.  I had to spit it out in my napkin.  I really hope nobody saw me!  Oh and my last final craving has been chocolate.  Oh, it’s been a bad craving.  One of which I satisfy every single day with Crème De Menthe Hershey Kisses.  I eat 2 of them every day.  They are 22 calories a piece and I let them melt slowly in my mouth.  It’s perfect.  The craving goes away after that.  Perfect.
My jeans continue to fall off.  I am to the point where I have to wear a belt all the time with my Levi’s which have always fit tighter, even from the first time I bought them 7 years ago!  I wish now that I would have had Zack measure me to see how many inches I am losing along with the weight.  Oh well it’s no big deal.  There are a few shirts in my closet that aren’t fitting right anymore so I’m slowly making a pile of clothes that I will donate later.  I wore a size 10 jeans on Saturday night!!  WOOT!!  Although they were a little snug they weren’t uncomfortable and it was nice not to have to keep pulling my pants up.  I can’t wait to fit them perfectly.  :-)
My weight loss this week is 1.4 lbs which makes my total 10.1 lbs for 9 weeks.  This means that I’ve reached my first goal of 10 lbs! This makes me happy!  It has been 9 long weeks.  I am so used to seeing weight come off quicker than this.  After all, last time I went for losing weight I lost 23 lbs in 8 weeks time.  Of course I gained it all back because I lost it so quickly.  So my motto is slow and steady keeps it off! Now I have another 10 lb goal.  Not sure how long it’s going to take but I’m for the challenge.   I still have a total of 20 to 25 more lbs to lose but going with one more 10 lb goal and than a 15 lb goal is the way I’m doing it!
Here’s to the next 10 lbs!

Fabulous job! I have to be honest I love the DVD workouts. I guess it it the support system isn't that crazy! I think it is great you are switching up the workout. One of the workouts I do says that our bodies are really smart, so we need to change things up so we keep burning a lot of calories.
Keep up the good work!

Look at your girlfriend! I haven't had a Coke in days because I've been sick and I wonder if I can keep it up. I love, love mushrooms so if we share a pizza I'll eat yours. Pizza sounds good right now. Keep up the awesome work. I need to get cracking so I can be cute standing next to you next month :)
