We are almost finished. I still have a few things that I need to get done in there.
We are going to get her new curtains because these, well, they are extremely faded from the afternoon sun streaming in, a new lamp for her dresser…A tree. I am going to paint a tree on her wall in the corner where the branch is. I will be using the Pottery Barn images as my inspiration! Also on the wall beside her bed, it’s been left blank because we are going to do something with a monogram! I am super excited.
I almost forgot. Kelsie says now she wants those pink walls! Too bad Miss Bug, they will remain blue! I wanted pink to begin with but she wanted blue, I went with what she wanted since it is in fact her room…
The little tree limb turned out so cute! For the butterflies….I printed out two different sizes and cut them out. I then laid them out onto poster board (thicker then the normal poster board) and traced them…Cut those out and then traced the poster board butterflies onto the scrap book paper. I used just plain old Elmer’s glue to glue the scrapbook paper on. They dried for several hours between some heavy (Harry Potter) books. I just bent them how I wanted them, applied 3M double sided tape and placed them on the branches.
The dresser and nightstand will get a fresh coat of paint this summer to match her bed. Oh and her railings have been removed. *sad* She is officially a big girl!
Before and After pictures to come soon!
